Beautiful nails are one of the big pluses to create the image of a successful, healthy and happy person. But how often it leaves the desired not only in their appearance, but also in the health of the nails. They turn yellow, thicken, flake off.
In very advanced cases, the nail plate may be completely removed from the finger. The cause of such unaesthetic and painful condition of nails is fungus. Catching onychomycosis, a common and incurable disease, is not as difficult as it seems at first glance.
Visiting saunas, swimming pools without individual shoes, changing rooms on the beaches are the most common way of infection, and toenail fungus is the most common type of fungal infection. Frequent stress, emotional stress and impaired immunity contribute to the development of abnormal microflora on the nails.
Bad habits, strict adherence to personal hygiene requirements are also factors provoking nail fungus. The cure of the disease is not as fast as the infection. It takes at least six months from the correct diagnosis of the disease to the cure if the fungus is localized on the toenails, and up to twelve months if the foot is injured.
Varnishes for the treatment of nail fungus
Different methods are used depending on the stage and localization of the fungal infection, which allows you to recover in an optimal time.
In the initial phase of the infection, varnish is successfully used to treat nail fungus, the principle of which is to soften the affected nail plate, causing the fungus spores to die under the influence of the drug.
Different pharmaceutical companies produce varnishes under different names and all of them prove high fungicidal properties.
Medications have been used successfully to treat onychomycosis and prevent recurrence of the disease. To prevent fungal infections, nail fungus varnish is also used very effectively.
Recommendations for the use of anti-fungal stains
To ensure maximum therapeutic effect, treatment of damaged nails should be carried out in accordance with the recommendations and at the optimal dose. Thus, the varnish treatment is carried out regularly, twice a week, and the treatment is continued until the final laboratory and clinical recovery, respectively, for six or twelve months of the fingers and toes.
When treating nail fungus we must keep in mind that toenails can accumulate several times more healing substance than on hand nails. It is also important to remember that the use of different stains in combination is undesirable as it causes a decrease in antifungal activity.
Contraindications to the use of varnish
The use of varnish from nail fungus for the treatment of onychomycosis should be subject to its use contraindications. Prohibited during pregnancy and lactation, contraindicated in individuals with individual intolerance to the components of the drug, should not be prescribed to children. In some cases it is possible to observe hyperemia of the surrounding areas of the skin when applying nail polish for the treatment of nail fungus.
Application rules
